The Nutcracker Buffalo | Shea’s Performing Arts Centre
For the second straight year, the Neglia Ballet Artists will team up with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra to revisit the whimsical and fantasy world of Marie who fought a seven-headed mouse and met a handsome-turned-to-nutcracker prince in her dreams in the Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky classic ballet “The Nutcracker”.
The ballet performance is a part of the Shea’s Performing Arts Center 2010-2011 special engagement set coupled with the renowned imaginative show from the “Cirque Dreams Holidaze” series which will run after the two-night ballet event.
“The Nutcracker” will be staged at the Shea’s on November 27, Saturday at 8 PM and on November 28, Sunday at 2 PM, a perfect weekend activity for families and even for groups of friends who would like to beat the chilly weather by watching a beautifully choreographed two-act ballet to the beat of the city’s homegrown orchestra.
Witness a showcase of “tradition and wonder”, as The Buffalo News would put it in this much anticipated return of the classic ballet in Buffalo’s most acclaimed theatre. The show features the dancing prowess of the Neglia Ballet Artists Company with Adeline Clauss as the fleeting and carefree young “Marie”, Sherri Campagni as adult “Marie”, and Sergio Neglia as the Nutcracker Prince who also conceptualized and choreographed the dance routines in both acts.
Tickets will go onsale to the general public through Ticketmaster on Friday, September 27. For advanced tickets, premium seating and sold out shows, review the ticket options featured below.
